Being the daughter of a CSX Laborer and KDMC nurse, Leslie comes from a working class family. Since both of her parents had full time jobs, she spent most of her youth at her grandfather’s, listening to him share about his time serving in World War II and his college football days at Morehead State University. Leslie’s parents taught her strong work ethic, but even more importantly, they raised her in church from infancy.

Leslie places her relationship with God above all else, while being guided by biblical principles. She and her husband Ben have been married for 16 years and have served together in various ministry roles. They live in Garrison.

Leslie has taught in the Lewis County School System since 2010 and is currently teaching at Lewis County High School and driving a bus route & sports teams. She works with students and staff from all across the county and has formed lasting relationships.

She received her Kentucky Real Estate License in 2019, giving her the opportunity to list and sell several homes in Lewis County and the surrounding counties. As a realtor, Leslie has dealt with contracts, deeds, titles, wills and surveys, expanding her knowledge beyond just the basics of listing/selling homes.

Her many hobbies include the outdoors, music, shooting sports, hunting and trail riding. Leslie also currently serves on numerous local committees and boards, including the Buffalo Trace Regional Housing Authority, which she chairs. Leslie’s passion is to serve others and help meet their needs, no matter the conditions.
